Rick and Maila are the owners of Couture Styles in Oakland, Maine, and the talent behind the tree dress that was the center of so much attention when I photographed a model in a dress made of real pine trees at the Ice Castles. We had so much fun running around Brunswick, Maine!!
Coffe, love, and a stunning sunset to cap off the day. These two were such a joy to work with. These images truly show their relationship; laughing, giggling, and all smiles while we bounced around the Bowdoin college campus and stopped for a little coffee at Little Dog. Love doesn’t need a holiday to be celebrated. A couples portrait session is a great way to show that!!!
I LOVE doing shoots like this!!! From the lifestyle look in the coffee shop to more intimate images on the walking bridge that really captures their spirit. No special occasion, just their true love. We finished the day at Maquoit Bay with stunning sunset colors. These two are just awesome!!
Since this shoot I’ve been able to see them at a wedding that Maila was the planner for, and both Rick and Maila were in the wedding party! Maila was also the talented hair stylist behind one of my most award-winning photographs every taken, called “Blow”.
