Will and Amanda are an unconventional couple, deciding to forgo the traditional American wedding and elope instead! It was such a pleasure being their photographer for this surprise Boston elopement.
Amanda’s family is from Cambodia and has very different wedding traditions than Will’s. To avoid the chaos of planning a wedding and incorporating all the traditions from both sides of the aisle, they decided to elope and wait to tell their families around the holidays.
After a short ceremony at Boston City Hall, we headed to the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain to get some photos amongst the beautiful scenery. They loved the idea of having different looks for their photos; so we then ventured off to the Seaport area for photos by the water. We stayed after dark to capture them in their home city with the skyline all lit up.
It was overcast most of the day. But did provide a great backdrop to the city lights and this fun couple who took a stroll along the water.
I am so happy to have been the one they chose to capture their Boston elopement and wish them all the best!
