Emily, Morse High School, Class of 2019

Emily, Morse High School, Class of 2019Emily is a senior at Morse High School in Bath, Maine!  Her favorite subjects are History and Art… Theater in particular.  She’s hoping to attend Salve Regina University in Rhode Island or Saint Joseph’s College in Maine once she graduates, majoring in nursing.

Emily chose to have a two-hour photo session.  Half of the session was in studio, and the other half was on location in Old Orchard Beach where we could get some super fun and colorful images that showed off her lighthearted spirit and energy!

The studio session is great for a senior to add to their package because they can bring items that mean the most to them.  Studio sessions aren’t what you’d imagine.  It’s not formal, and certainly not traditional.  Photos are fun, and can show off a student’s prized possessions, accomplishments, and in Emily’s case, her makeup brushes and shoe collection!!!

It was so fun putting together a special image for her in photoshop, where she wears each pair of shoes in her collection.  Each pair makes her feel a certain way, and she expressed that in a series of photos that I put together into one killer image!

After her studio portion of the session, we traveled to Old Orchard Beach and spent time at the pier, on the beach playing in the surf, and at Palace Playland where we looked for some of the most fun and colorful spots possible.  We even got the bumper cars to stop for a moment so we could run onto the floor, take a few shots and run off….. all for the sake of some super unique images of this amazing young lady who isn’t afraid to do something different!  She even ate cotton candy, and then improvised by sticking her blue tongue out at me.

Emily’s personality is fantastic, and I loved every minute of this photo shoot.  She and her mother were willing to help me let my imagination run wild and were game for just about any idea I had.

In Emily’s words: “I think the part of high school I will miss the most is all of the school spirit. Morse is very known for its outrageous spirit and it applies to everything we do, from assemblies to pep rallies to homecoming”.

When asked why she chose me for her senior photos, Emily said “we chose you because we loved your previous work and knew you could do something that would be unique, not just ‘posing next to your favorite tree’”, and said the experience was tons of fun and very easy.

This chick has an amazing future ahead of her, and she’s going to bring such a fantastic energy and light to every room she walks into.   I can’t wait to see what she does this year, and the positivity she can bring to the world as she enters college!
