Emily and Bernard are the sweetest people ever, and I had the absolute pleasure of capturing their special day at one of my all-time favorite wedding venues, the Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine. This stunning location, nestled between the quintessentially Maine towns of Ogunquit and York, offers the perfect blend of sophistication and adventure. Seriously, it’s one of the most beautiful places to say “I do,” with the ocean right there as a breathtaking backdrop. The Cliff House promises a wedding experience like no other, and it did not disappoint for Emily and Bernie’s big day.
Cliff House Wedding
Because the Cliff House holds such a special place in my heart, I made sure to capture some stand-alone shots of the venue to set the scene. The ocean views, the rocky cliffs, and the elegant architecture – it all comes together to create something truly magical. From there, I turned my lens to Emily and Bernie as they prepared for their day. Emily’s dress was nothing short of stunning, with floral detailing on the back and a matching veil that was to die for! She chose a very classic, timeless look, while Bernie added a pop of fun and brightness with his colorful bowtie. Her smile was infectious, lighting up the entire room.
One of the most touching moments of the day was when they read letters to each other before the ceremony. It was such a heartfelt exchange, with a few tears and a celebratory toast that followed. We then made our way to the ceremony, which was set right in front of the ocean on North Point Lawn. The views were just as amazing as you’d expect from Cliff House. The ceremony arch, made of driftwood, perfectly complemented the coastal surroundings. The service was intimate and beautiful, with picture-perfect weather that made everything feel like a dream. After they said their “I do’s,” I captured some family photos and shots of the newlyweds right on the rocks – I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop!
Atlantic Ballroom Reception
The reception in the Atlantic Ballroom was as beautiful as you can imagine, with everything tying into a Maine coastal theme. Even the drinks had clever, coastal-inspired names! The decor was on point, capturing the essence of the Maine coastline in the most elegant way. As the night unfolded, the dance floor came alive with joy and celebration for Emily and Bernie. The love in the room was palpable, and it was such a pleasure to photograph them at on of my favorite venues. Their Cliff House wedding was the perfect mix of charm, elegance, and coastal beauty – an unforgettable day that I was so honored to be a part of!
