Jesus and Bethany were an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. They brought such warmth and love to their wedding day at the beautiful Bethel Inn, which was a lovely choice for their celebration. I first met Jesus and Bethany, who hail from the Boston area, when they hired me to photograph their engagement session at Mount Battie, in Camden, Maine! After photographing their engagement session, I was super exited for their wedding day!
Up!
One of the most endearing moments of the day was when Jesus pinned a grape soda bottle cap to the inside of his suit while getting ready, a nod to their shared love for the movie “Up.” In the movie, the boy scout pins a grape soda bottle cap to his uniform. The movie seemed to fit the theme of their wedding day, which was filled with adventure and love.
Jumping the Broom
The ceremony itself was a beautiful affair, set against a stunning backdrop and surrounded by their loved ones, including their adorable dog. After exchanging heartfelt vows, Jesus and Bethany participated in the tradition of jumping the broom as they exited the ceremony, symbolizing their new beginning together. It was a fun moment, made even sweeter by the presence of their mothers who placed the broom for them.
The Reception
As the golden hour cast a magical glow over the surroundings, we captured stunning photos with the wedding party against a backdrop of the mountains of western Maine. The evening transitioned seamlessly into a lively reception filled with dancing, laughter, and memorable moments. Bethany’s light-up sneakers added a fun twist to the dance floor, and their cake, complete with a figure of their beloved dog, was a delightful centerpiece.
Jesus and Bethany’s wedding at the Bethel Inn was a fun-filled day for the awesome couple! I had a blast photographing their wedding and wish nothing but love to them!
