Kelly and Alex’s wedding at the Wyndham Newport Hotel in Rhode Island was a beautiful celebration. From heartfelt letters and rain-kissed portraits to an epic dance floor and the most stunning golden hour, this day was perfect! I had so much fun capturing it all, and I can honestly say this venue is one of the most stunning I’ve photographed at. Highly recommend to any couples who are looking!

The Calm Before the “I Do”

The day started with anticipation and excitement as both Kelly and Alex got ready in their suites at the Wyndham. Kelly looked absolutely amazing. Her dress? Stunning. Elegant, romantic, and completely perfect for her. After slipping it on, she took a quiet moment to read a letter from Alex. Let me just say — no eyes were left dry. Even her bridesmaids were sniffling and the emotion in that moment set the tone for the rest of the day. It was so sweet. Meanwhile, Alex and his groomsmen were enjoying a classic pre-wedding toast. The guys all looked super sharp in their suits and bowties, and the energy in their room was filled with laughter and anticipation. Alex opened his letter from Kelly and you could tell these two clearly share such a deep and meaningful connection.

First Look by the Ocean — and a Little Rain

One of my favorite parts of the day was their first look. We headed out to the rocks, where the ocean stretched endlessly behind them. It was the perfect spot — romantic, peaceful, and dramatic in all the best ways. And then… the rain started. But you know what? Kelly and Alex didn’t skip a beat. They embraced it, grabbed an umbrella, and kept smiling the entire time. There’s something so beautiful about couples who just live in the moment. We took some awesome photos during that short little shower — the ones with the umbrella, the ocean mist, and all that lush greenery? Absolutely dreamy. Sometimes, a little rain on your wedding day just adds to the magic. This was one of those times.

Wyndham Newport Wedding

Once the rain passed, we gathered the whole wedding party for some portraits. Everyone looked incredible, and the fun energy was contagious. You could tell how much love and support surrounded Kelly and Alex, and that joy radiated in every photo.

The ceremony was amazing! One of the most touching parts? Kelly’s dad officiated. So special! Kelly continued to glow and everyone rang out in cheers when they finally said their “I do’s”. One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is seeing people at their happiest. And Kelly and Alex were delighted!

Golden Hour + A Sweet Ending

After the ceremony, the sun started to dip low in the sky — perfect timing for a few golden hour portraits. We snuck away for just a few minutes, letting Kelly and Alex soak in the first few moments of being officially married. From there, it was time to party! The reception kicked off with high energy and never slowed down. There was laughter, dancing, heartfelt toasts, and that cake — delicious and beautifully decorated.
