When I think about what makes a wedding unforgettable, I think about moments—big and small—that feel completely and unapologetically you. That’s exactly how I’d describe Amitt and Justin’s two-day wedding celebration at the stunning Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine. It was vibrant, emotional, joyful, and full of meaning at every turn.
Cliff House is one of my favorite venues of all time—perched on the rocky cliffs of the Atlantic, with panoramic views and salty ocean air swirling around you. But even with a backdrop that breathtaking, it was Amitt and Justin’s love story that truly took center stage.
Day 1: An Intimate Indian Ceremony
The celebration began with an Indian wedding ceremony that brought together their closest family and friends. It was intimate and rooted in tradition. Amitt, originally from India, wanted to honor his heritage in a way that felt personal and meaningful—and it was everything. The colors, the rituals, the warmth in the room—it was as if the whole space was glowing. (Keep scrolling for day 2!)

Day 2: A “Traditional” American Wedding
The second day was a more traditional American wedding, but with so many personal touches that made it wholly their own. One of my favorite moments? Watching them help each other get ready- tying each other’s ties and putting on their jackets. They wanted this moment just to themselves and afterwards shared a drink with their wedding party before heading outside for photos. I was so excited to learn Amitt and I share the same favorite color—YELLOW! And he absolutely went all in on it. His wedding party was decked out in stunning shades of yellow, creating a joyful and sunlit energy that lit up the entire day. It was bold, bright, and beautifully him.
Before the ceremony, I grabbed some photos of Amitt, Justin, and their wedding party on the cliffs. From there, they did something I’ve never seen before—they practiced their first dance right out on the cliffs! Not just any dance either: Amitt is a huge Bollywood fan, so he choreographed an incredible Bollywood-style first dance for the two of them. Watching them twirl and laugh and practice in the open air, ocean behind them, was pure magic.
Cliff House Wedding
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful! Amitt and Justin both looked incredible in their navy suits. One of the most heartfelt parts of the ceremony was that Justin’s brother served as the officiant, making the moment feel incredibly personal and meaningful. They said their “I do’s” with the sound of waves crashing behind them and the sweeping ocean views of the Cliff House.
There were a few moments that stopped me in my tracks, but none more than the tribute Justin created to honor those who’ve battled cancer. Justin is a cancer survivor, and when he proposed to Amitt at the finish line of the Boston Marathon—something he never thought he’d live to do—it was a moment full of triumph and love. To recognize the people in their lives (and in all of ours) who have faced cancer, Justin created a “rainbow” for cancer ribbons—a way for every guest to add a ribbon for the color that represents their own journey or that of someone they love. It was deeply personal and beautifully inclusive. I added my ribbon too.
At the reception, Justin shared a touching dance with his mother, while Amitt honored his family in a unique way. His parents were unable to attend, but he didn’t let that stop him from creating something special. Instead of a traditional mother/son dance, he performed a lively Bollywood number with his two sisters, and they absolutely brought the house down.
Let’s talk dessert—because wow. They had not one, but two cakes—each groom with his own, yet designed to complement each other. It was such a clever and sweet touch. And the rest of the dessert display? Probably one of the most beautiful and delicious-looking spreads I’ve ever seen at a wedding. The attention to detail was next-level!
As the night rolled on, the dance floor was the place to be. The playlist was a perfect blend of American and Bollywood hits—something for everyone. Whether you were a seasoned Bollywood dancer or just ready to let loose to some pop classics, you had your moment. The energy was contagious.
Amitt and Justin’s two-day wedding was a celebration of love across cultures. It was deeply personal and joyfully expressive—from their yellow wedding party to the rainbow ribbon tribute, their cliffside Bollywood dance, and every delicious bite in between. Of course, Cliff House was amazing as usual! Thank you, Amitt and Justin, for letting me be part of such a powerful, fun, and unforgettable weekend. I’ll carry the joy of your love with me for a long time. 💛
