I had the absolute pleasure of photographing three generations of the Hallen family, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more fun group! We met up at Wolfe’s Neck Park in Freeport, Maine—a great hidden gem for family photos. Between the wooded trails, rocky coastline, and soft light peeking through the trees, it gave us the perfect backdrop for this session.
What made it even better? The kids. Oh my gosh. They were ridiculously funny and adorable the entire time. The oldest girl totally stole the show—she came ready. She insisted that she got to wear lipstick for her photo shoot and hammed it up during the whole hour session.
There’s something really special about photographing generations of families—the little resemblances, the inside jokes, the way a grandmother looks at her grandkids. The Hallens had that kind of warmth that you can just feel—genuine love, easy laughter, and a whole lot of joy.
Hallen family, thank you for letting me tag along for an hour of lipstick, giggles, and pure joy!
