Sometimes, being a photographer means strapping 40 pounds of gear to your back and hiking up a mountain—but when the reward is a moment like Jeren’s proposal to Jackie on top of South Bubble Mountain in Acadia National Park, it’s so worth it!
This autumn day on Mount Desert Island couldn’t have been more perfect. The sky was clear, the air was crisp, and the foliage had just started to hit its peak. As we made our way up the South Bubble trail in Bar Harbor, the anticipation of what was to come made the whole hike feel electric. Once we reached the summit, the view was absolutely breathtaking—you could see Jordan Pond stretching out below and the ocean sparkling beyond the horizon.
Jeren found the perfect spot overlooking that incredible view and dropped to one knee. Jackie’s reaction was pure joy, and capturing that moment with the warm sunset light wrapping around them was truly unforgettable. The colors in the sky mirrored the vibrant fall leaves surrounding us, making everything feel like a scene straight out of a storybook.
After the big “yes,” we spent some time taking portraits among the granite cliffs and golden trees, soaking in the magic of the moment. Jackie and Jeren were so full of love and excitement—it was contagious.
