I was super excited to photograph Danielle and David’s wedding, especially after our adventurous engagement session at Mt. Agamenticus! They’re an awesome couple, making every moment with them a blast.
Capturing Love by the Shore
The day began with a touch of mist at Crescent Beach State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. At first, Danielle and David were disheartened by the fog, but I saw it as an opportunity to create something truly magical. Using creative lighting techniques, we turned the mist into a dreamy backdrop that made for some awesome photos!
North 43 Bistro
From the tranquil beach, we transitioned to the heartfelt ceremony at All Faiths Chapel on the SMCC Campus, where Danielle and David exchanged their heartfelt vows. Then it was off to North 43 Bistro in South Portland for the reception—an incredible waterfront venue that set the stage for a memorable evening. Danielle had a vision for a candlelit reception, but she wanted it done right so her guests weren’t blinded by a flashing camera all night. I was able to use 2 flashes in the room with full CTO gels to simulate the ambiance of candlelight, and made sure the room still looked dark in her photos, but with that warm orange glow. She was so so happy with the results!
Even when rain joined the celebration, Danielle and David embraced the moment, stepping outside with me to grab some photos. I had a blast bringing their wedding photos to life. It is also fun to play with lighting! I am so happy to have been part of Danielle and David’s engagement and wedding day!
