Jaime & Jean’s Cliff House Wedding

Jaime and Jean’s wedding at the Cliff House was by far one of the most stunningly beautiful weddings I have ever photographed! Every single detail of their New Year’s Eve celebration was exquisite, elegant, and timeless. It was a night of refined beauty and unparalleled joy—a perfect way to ring in the new year!

Welcome Party

Before the big day, Jaime and Jean welcomed their guests with a holiday-themed party, setting the stage for an unforgettable weekend. Red-painted balsam fir trees created a festive atmosphere, adding a stylish and distinctive touch to the evening. It was the perfect introduction to the celebration that would follow.

Cliff House Wedding

On their wedding day, Jaime stunned in a dress that was the epitome of class and refinement. Every intricate detail, from the delicate fabric to the way it flowed effortlessly with her every movement, was simply breathtaking. And let’s not forget her Valentino shoes! They were absolutely exquisite. Jean, equally dashing, wore a navy blue velvet suit jacket.

One of the most touching moments of the day was when a very special family friend helped Jean into his suit. The bond between them was evident, and it was such a meaningful way to start the day. Jaime’s son was also a standout, looking incredibly dapper in a fantastic suit and a cowboy hat that added a touch of personality to the affair. It was heartwarming to see the love and connection between them all.

Their invitations were a true work of art—handmade with a depiction of Cliff House’s iconic fireworks display. The anticipation of seeing those fireworks light up the night sky added an extra layer of excitement, and experiencing it in real life was nothing short of magical.

As Jaime made her way down the aisle, it was her dear friend, the same friend who helped Jean into his suit, who held her dress—an act that was incredibly important to them both. It was one of those small but deeply significant details that added to the warmth and intimacy of the ceremony.

From start to finish, the planning and decor were impeccable. Every detail was executed with meticulous care, and one of my favorite elements was the ghost chairs that had been brought in to seamlessly complement the overall design. The entire space felt effortlessly stylish, a perfect blend of modern elegance and classic charm.

Atlantic Ballroom Reception

The reception was a feast for the senses, with a distinctive and creative approach to dessert that I absolutely loved. Instead of a single wedding cake, Jaime and Jean had a bunch of different flavored cakes. Guests had chosen their preferred flavor in advance when they sent in their RSVP cards. On top of each cake was displays of brides and grooms, which was a special touch as they belonged to Jaime’s uncle who had passed. After dinner, Jean took the mic, inviting everyone to the dance floor for a heartfelt toast to his stunning new bride and his wonderful new step-son. But what happened next was brilliant—guests were then directed to a new table, not the one they had originally been seated at, where they could enjoy the cake flavor they had selected that was now on their tables. It was such a unique way to encourage mingling and connection, and seeing people introduce themselves to new faces while indulging in their favorite cake was such a joy to witness.

Another standout detail of the evening was the presence of Hank—Jaime and Jean’s beloved dog. Although Hank couldn’t attend in person, he still managed to make his mark in the most delightful ways. His face appeared on custom cocktail napkins and drink stirrers, and guests had so much fun with these little details that they began placing the tiny Hank cutouts all over the venue. It was hilarious to see them peeking out of suit jacket pockets and tucked into unexpected places. A small but incredibly fun and personal touch that brought so much joy to the night.

Cliff House Fireworks

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for—the fireworks. Set off from the cliffs, the display was absolutely breathtaking, illuminating the night sky and reflecting off the ocean in a dazzling spectacle. Guests of the resort gathered on the patio, completely mesmerized by the show. And as the final bursts of light faded, Jaime and Jean popped a bottle of champagne, toasting to their love, their incredible journey, and the start of a brand new year. The energy was infectious, and the celebration continued into the after-party, where guests danced, laughed, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Jaime and Jean’s wedding was not just a beautiful event—it was an experience. As always, the Cliff House made for an amazing venue as it was a night of refined elegance, thoughtful details, and so much fun. Every moment was designed with care, every detail was meaningful, and the love that filled the room was absolutely undeniable. It was an honor to capture such a distinctive and stylish celebration, and I have no doubt that their love story will continue to be as timeless and extraordinary as the night they said ‘I do.’
