When mother nature seems to be dampening the big day with a little rain but the smiles and laughter make it all ok. This wonderful wedding was full of laughter and joy. Giving way to a beautiful ceremony on the wooded grounds of the Hardy Farm in Fryeburg Maine. Full of special details and moments, Jason and Angela had a day to remember.
The timeline was set and the only thing that could put a damper on the day would be the rain. But that didn’t stop them from enjoying themselves. The rich reds and blues in the bridal party to the greenery of the outdoors and flowers complimented the deep love these to have for each other.
The barn at Hardy Farm was perfect for the bridal portraits. Angela and her girls were radiating throughout the portraits. A champagne toast and the rain winding down was perfect timing.
As wedding photographers themselves, Jason and Angela knew the importance of these images and I am honored to have been selected, out of an exceptional community of photographers, to photograph their day. They wanted these special details to be what they remembered and I was thrilled to have been there capturing them. The rain had stopped just in time for the ceremony to begin.
I think one of the best parts of the ceremony were the flower girls. Two grandmothers happily played that part.
With the rain ending and the infectious laughter from Angela, the day was not a wash. I think the bridal party was ready to celebrate and have a little more fun.
The flower girls were also ready for a good time. What a way to celebrate all the generations on your big day.
We did steal the bride and groom away before the party really got started.
I can still hear her laughter and it makes me smile to know how happy they were that day.
Time to get the dancing shoes on but not before the speeches and a beverage or two.
The cake cutting and first dances are always special moments but the father-daughter dance really set the stage for the party!
Angela and her father had secretly choreographed a dance and the look on her mother’s face, and the rest of the guests was priceless. I hear it was insisted on by dad who practiced every day. Everyone was ready to dance after that.
These two are truly special and it was an honor to have been there to capture it all. From the beautiful Hardy Farm grounds to the amazing people in attendance and even the rain. A special day indeed.
