Justin and Jen’s Family Portraits with their Pets

Justin and Jen's Family Portraits with their PetsI had the honor of photographing Jen and Justin’s wedding a couple years ago, and they have since settled into a farmhouse in Monmouth, Maine, with their pets. 5 cats, 4 horses, 2 pigs, and 8 dogs… including little Todd who you see in these photos. Todd is their baby, although he’s technically a little old man now and not as energetic as I remember him at their wedding.

Jennifer is a veterinarian, and Justin works diligently every day restoring the farmhouse and tending to the animals and the farm. So family portraits on the farm was the perfect setting.

We took some photos of Jennifer and Justin in their field, and they introduced me to their horses. The silhouette you see below is of their horse, Boston, who I especially loved. Getting the horses outside to run around for a little bit was exciting, as they ran laps around us. I stood as still as I could as Justin and Jen danced in the field, and the horses ran between us. To showcase their home, their pets and their love for each other was a special gift for me. I loved seeing them again so long after their wedding, and I hope to continue to document the special moments of their life together!!!
